Unforgettable!

This was an outstanding service during the Interchurch Holiness Convention in Dayton, Ohio, last year.  It stirs my heart every time I listen to it!  God still hears our prayers!  Praise His Name!

Spring at Last

We still love each other after 21 years of marriage.

Big sister and little brother on a mission.

She has grown up way too fast!

Daddy and Joshua "fishing" ~ If you look closely, you will see Joshua holding a long willow-like branch over the water waiting for a fish to bite (ha).

Enjoying a day at the park

A walking stick to help on the journey

Another treasure for Mommy

A little boy that has brought heaps of joy and laughter into our lives.

We enjoyed a trip to Lake Loramie State Park a couple of weeks ago due to a Science lab assignment I had for one of my classes.  Joshua was thrilled with this assignment, since he was able to reap the benefits.

On a more humorous note:  We were driving down the highway recently and we suddenly smelled the typical odor of a nearby skunk.  James said, "That skunk sure does stink."  Joshua responded, "That snunk stinks, Daddy?"  James:  "Yes, it sure does stink."  Joshua:  "Daddy, that snunk needs changed?"  (hahahaha)  He is soooo funny sometimes!

Changes

Some people enjoy changes, while others dread the thought of a change.  I'm one of those who despise most changes that come along in life.  Whether we want them to come or not; most of the time changes are inevitable sometime or other.

In more recent times, our family has been experiencing changes.  I've quickly come to the realization that when children are birthed within months of one another; expect changes that occur with very little time lapsing between one another.  This is one major regret that I'm just now finding out.

It seems just yesterday when Christianna trudged off to college uncertain of her future, but trying to follow the wishes of her parents while seeking the will of God.  Once again, just a couple years later we are facing that crossroads again with Evangelyn.  She has completed high school and is anticipating graduation on June 11th.  What does the future hold?  These latter teenage years are exciting, but daunting and worrisome for this mother!  Added to this worry, Evangelyn just purchased her first car.  Now you can begin to feel just a small portion of my worries at this point.

Nathan was recently employed at Taco Bell, for which I'm thankful.  But, now with both Evangelyn and Nathan working, it seems we rarely enjoy a meal together since one or the other, or both, are working.  I've been used to preparing a family meal for years, and now it seems our family life is falling apart due to work schedules.  You may ridicule my thoughts on this, but life just isn't the same without everyone home for a meal every day.  Things seems so strange.  Yes, I detest changes!

There is a possibility Christianna may not be home with us for a good portion of the summer months.  Once again, I'm having to adapt to another change.  I was expecting to enjoy the few months between school years together, but another appealing opportunity arose for her that will keep her from home for an additional few weeks.  I'm thankful this option has come her way, but I am saddened that we will be seeing less of her this summer.

I could add several more changes that have taken place, but I'll refrain for now.  Phillipians 4:6 says, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."  The Bible also states, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (I Peter 5:7).  I must follow these commands during these changing times, or I will find myself in great despair.  I'm so thankful for a Heavenly Father who understands us and can help us through these times of uncertainty and change.
